Dear brother Bimal,I like your opinion. But I think you are not fully thorough with the issues now live in our Diocese.Kindly let the readers know on what issue the laity and vicars establish a compromise with this Bishop. All of us are prepared to forgive. But for what and why? Why the people and priests of catholic church never gone for a compromise with bishop john thattungal, who adopted a girl and made her pregnant. The Pope only sent him out. There are certain areas where common man can go for a settlement or compromise.
Do you feel bishop kuruvilla deserves any mercy or sympathy.I am a church member from kochi and I use to observe all incidents very closely. So please let me know how a common man can forgive this person?issue based and your suggestion for solutions.practical and positive suggestions.please reply.

My dear brother Binal Emmanuel Robert Sathyadasan,
Loving greetings in our Lord’s name. Very often, Bishops and corrupt leaders are using you people as a shield to protect them from the condemnation. You are advocating for a known fraud and who spoil the whole North Kerala Diocese and earned disrespect for the entire diocese.
Romans 2:1, says “Therefore you are inexcusable, ….; for you who judge practice the same things. Please note the 2nd part of the verse. The people who do the same thing as the Bishop, cannot condemn others. A believer is the watchman of Church and society. It is a question of commitment or compromise. You preachers are now compromising in everything for your own benefit. Even some preachers are getting money in the form of gift and advocating for such frauds Nehemiah 6:12 which says “Then I perceived that God had not sent him at all, but that he pronounced this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him”.
It is stated in the Bible, John 2:14-16 - “And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, … He had made a scourge of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, .. Take these things away from here. Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise.” In another place Mathew 21:13 it says that my house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves." Act 17:16 …. his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols. Galatians 4:18 says, it is good to be zealous in a good thing always. Today the problems is that church does not have such zealous believers.
If you are really a disciple of Jesus Christ, you will not close your eyes and let such thieves steal the church property and defile the church. In case, some one steals Rs.2/- lakhs worth jewellery from your house or somebody misbehaves with your sister or wife, will you not file a complaint to police and do something to recover or ensure that such things does not happen in the future? That is what we are doing.
To be continued..

Read Ezekiel chapter 3 which says that we are watchmen. We are the watchmen for the church and society. We are the watchman for the righteous and unrighteous. The righteous includes the Bishops or preachers like you. A Bishop or Pastor or a prophet may be corrupt and fake. Read Nehemiah 6:12 , Read Deuteronomy chapter 18:20, 22, Jeremiah chapter, 5:31, chapter 23, Ezekiel chapter 13. Bishops or preachers are not super natural beings. All of us are called to make the church which is the body of Christ and we all are members of the body. All of us have the equal responsibility in building the church.
Forgiveness has two parts. The Bible clearly says, when someone really regret for his mistakes and rectify the mistakes, forgiveness is granted by God. David commits adultery with Bathsheba and Nathan was sent. He realized his mistake and sincerely apologized. God forgives him but there was punishment. God killed his child. Moses did a mistake, but God did not forgive him. As a whole, we have to forgive, when somebody asks forgiveness. When he himself could not forgive the laity and fellow pastors, how he expects forgiveness from others.
Have you even spoken to Bishop Kuruvilla regarding the church issues? First you preach it to him and then write to laity. Where were you when several members were thrown out of the church without following constitution? When several pastors and teachers were victimized? Why did you not talk to him about forgiveness? Who is responsible for crores of the money which have been looted from the church and laity in the form of bribe? Will you pay the money to the church? He has been running the diocese as a hotel? Did he ever do things in a fair and just manner? The Bible repeatedly talks about justice and love. – fair and just. These words are missing from the Bible of Bishop Kuruvilla.
My sincere advice is, please advise the Bishop to step down in the best interest of the diocese. Whatever he did may be forgiven by the people of the diocese but law should take its own course and unravel all the nasty deals he has done against this great church.
Please tell the bishop not to HEARDEN his HEART LIKE THE PHARAOH.
With regards,
Jacob Reginald,
Munnar.

It is so unfortunate that our internal matters are coming one by one everyday. We never had such bad times in our history.God has given us beautiful churches, companies(most of them are sold out),schools, college and poor homes.
What I found from my experience is that our vicars and majority of the laymen are deprived of the rights.
I too wonder that why an issue is dragged for years together.Naturally people may react or file cases when they deprived of the rights.
Leaders including the Bishop are far far away from the people. That is the only and one reason behind all problems.
If somebody wants to forgive the other they have to meet each other and sit and talk. This process is not taking place. It happens only in North Kerala Diocese.you have to accept this fact.
That is why we are throwing stones each other standing face to face in the streets.

Isaiah chapter 1 verse 6 says that "From the sole of the foot even to the head, There is no soundness in it, But wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; They have not been closed or bound up, Or soothed with ointment." That is the condition of the church today. Instead of binding up the wounds, the body, the Bishop who is supposed to give a healing touch, try to kill and destroy the church and its institutions. Now, by the grace of God and with fervent prayers of people like you, Synod had intervened to bind up the wounds. Let every one co-operate and to give a healing touch because to that extend the diocese is destroyed. Only God can change the situation.

The time has come to start a new beginning.
You forget the bishop because he is the only bishop in the world given cases against his superior authority.
He is not ready to live like a human being.making enemies and challenging the whole world is his hobby.

sajan said...

some CSI laymen has filed case against their superior authority... what about that????

jacobreginald said...

Dear Bro. Sajan, the word the superior authority has no relevance. I trust that you mean moderator or bishop. Moderator or bishop or Presbyter are employees of this great church who are expected to function according to the constitution of the church. CSI is democratic institution and the Laity or the Layman who are the backbone of the church. The Laymen are the custodian of the church but now the trend has been made to reverse. The laymen are treated like slaves and a few clergy including Bishops who are selfish in nature and behaving like an extra constitutional authority or kings and provoking the laity. Now in North Kerala Diocese, a few laity who are the henchmen of the bishop are filing cases to prevent action of the synod which will be very detrimental to the diocese. Let us pray and co-operate with synod to restore the dignity of the diocese.

sajan said...

Dear Reginald,
that's what I said .... when u have a different opinion with the diocese decision straight away you went to court washed all the dirt in front of the media and still continuing the drama.......but when some others done the same you are saying it is illegal... why..are they not CSI laymen..?? or questioning diocese or synod's decision is only your authority???

jacobreginald said...

Who told you my dear Sajan? Did I go directly to the court? CSI is a democratic body. The bishop is supposed to decide things through the administrative bodies i.e. the local pastorate committee, district and executive. Even if he decides for the best interest of the diocese, he should make the deal public. In the case of Munnar 3 story building which was later named as Prayer Hall and Community Centre, he gave it to be converted into a resort totally against the interest of the diocese and the wishes of the congregations to an outsider. I as a diocesan council member sent two faxes asking the details of the deal. An executive committee member from Munnar requested a copy of the deal. But till date it is not given to the congregation. A mass petition was sent to the Bishop and moderator. With no reply from the Bishop, we had to approach the court. The laity has the right to approach a court for a genuine matter because all authorities are from God. Even Jesus honoured the courts of the day. This matter alone proves the integrity of the bishop. To right the wrong, the synod has taken action and I suggest every one to co-operate. If you have a different view, what can I say? We cannot correct any one who deliberately support corruption and corrupt people.

Dear MR.JACOB REJINOLD,
It is wonderful to see even after all these events there are numbered persons supporting this bishop.
In fort kochi they tried their level best to divide the members and win the nasty play. But by the grace of God they could not.
I may ask the person sent comment for the person filed litigation against the synod.I knew that that case was dismissed with cost and the namesake stay is vacated.Good.
'why laymen and vicars approach the court?nobody is interested in civil litigations unless an emergent situation occurs. They would have approched the appropriate bodies in the church and the justice would have been denied.Munnar, talikulam, vaniyankulam, puthiara, kalamasseri, ilamkulam, cathedral, english church, calicut and other cases in the corporate management. How many cases are there?more than two hundred and cases between PCs and chairman.
I am sure that no employee in the schools are prepared to go to court just for joke.
So something wrong some where.
Bishop is not acting as per rules or people are simply filing cases.
But according to my best knowledge in all cases bishop fails and people wins.
I saw few orders of the Government officers and court of school cases.
You will definitely take a whip and slap the school managers who signed in the totally illegal orders and lead to unwanted litigations.
cases come when vengeance is there in between.

sajan said...

you are right eby, it is a true that cases come when vengeance is there in between, and who told you that case was dismissed with cost and the namesake stay is vacated, it is just postponed because the opposite party is not attending the court, it wont take much time it will be an ex party verdict soon...

People are living on their dreams, especially the corrupt bishop and his henchmen. How many days, you will stick on in power on court verdicts? The Lord who is the head of all Principality and Power as stated in collosians chapter 2 verse 10, will deliver his verdict soon and then let us wait for His verdict.
