Mrs.RITA BARCLAY who is settled in Mississippie(USA)an old student of
BEM Girls Higher Secondary School,CALICUT.
Also worked as a science teacher in the same school from 1954-1964.
After marriage settled in Jabalpur(Madhya Pradesh).
From there she received MP Government's State
Award for Best Teacher.
She stays in USA with her only son who is a doctor.
On 15.01.2014 She made a visit to her old school.
The students,teachers and the Parent Teachers
Association(PTA)given her a remarkable reception in the school.
Rev.Joy Alex(Manager-UnaidedSchools),Mr.Jovet Francis(The Property Secretary)
Mr.Jaiprakash Raghavaih(Former Manager,Malabar Christian College,Calicut)
were present.
Due to unavoidable circumstances Rev.Vinod Allen(BEM Schools Corporate manager)
and Mr.K.P.Chandran(The PTA President-BEMGHSS)
could not attend the function.
The students of the school were really enjoying the visit of their old student.
In her short message she shared the sweet memories of her school days with the girl students.
The visit was encouraging for both of them.
